Let the house of Israel say, "His mercy endures forever." Let the house of Aaron say, "His mercy endures forever." Let those who fear the LORD say, "His mercy endures forever." Ps. 118
Due to the Priest Convocation our daily Mass schedule for the week of April 29th through May 4th has changed. There will be no daily 8 am Mass on Tuesday April 30th, Wednesday May 1st, or Thursday May 2nd. Additionally there will be no Our Mother of Perpetual Help Devotion on Tuesday, April 30th. Daily Mass will resume on Friday May 3rd.
This service begins the Easter Triduum on Holy Thursday with a celebration of the Last Supper of our Lord. Taize & Adoration is a time for prayer and reflection in the presence of the Eucharist.
Tenebrae dates at least as far back as the 17th century. Through the service, one candle at a time is extinguished on a 15 candle hearse until only one, Christ, is left. Tenebrae occurs in near darkness and includes readings, psalms, music, and reflections lead by Fr. Serge. Confessions to follow.
Fr. Serge, an educator at the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology, visits St. Mark annually to preach on deepening your intimacy with and knowledge of, God, you, and His Church. He will lead tonight's, 4/16/19, Parish Mission (no Mass) in the Chapel at 7:00pm and also Wednesday morning, 4/17/19, at 8:00am. Confessions to follow.
O God, who wills not the death of a sinner, but rather that he be converted and live, grant we beseech You ... an increase of laborers for your Church, fellow laborers with Christ ... Amen
