1956 – 2018
Susan Gorman, 62, passed on the 28th of December 2018 surrounded by family and friends after an extended battle with lung cancer. Her funeral service will be held this Saturday, January the 12th, at Saint Mark the Evangelist Church in Oro Valley, beginning with a prayer of the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 9:30 am followed by a memorial Mass at 10:00 am.
Susan was an active member of St. Mark Catholic Church for 18 years, during which she was involved in numerous ministries including Homebound Eucharistic Ministers, Mass coordinator, and Sacristan. She also was also a member of The Catholic Daughters at Saint Mark. Susan also started a chapter of The Compassionate Friends in Oro Valley, a national non-profit organization that supports parents and grandparents who have had a child die.
Susan was a pillar of strength for her family and will be forever missed. Her husband, Fredrick “Buddy” Gorman, and her Daughter Laura Christian Gorman precede Susan in death. Her son, Adam Beck Gorman, as well as her seven brothers and sister, survive her. Donations will be accepted in lieu of flowers by Adam Gorman and forwarded to several of her favorite charities.
