Pastoral Council Minutes from September 11, 2019, meeting

Minutes from August 19, 2019, approved.
Fr. John Update – adding rooms to rectory (2 rooms & garage total equaling about $1,500 sq feet) cost of about $300,000. The building committee will continue with the planning for the church hall, but we will not have a capital campaign. We have about $600,000 to pay off in debt. RE numbers are up a little, and there was a kick-off Mass. RCIA numbers are up – there are currently 12 people registered. Blessed is She had 120 women attend.
Finance – feel good where we are at and where they are headed. A financial statement will be in the bulletin on the weekend of August 21, and people will be in the Narthex to answer questions.
Works of Mercy – a carload of supplies was delivered to Casa Alitas.
Stewardship – New Parishioner dinner is scheduled for February 22, 2020. The first meeting of the dinner committee is scheduled for September 29, and approximately ten people are willing to help.
Weekend Committee – Diana Galis will be the lead for decorating the church.
Facilities – the bench is in, new AC firm has been hired. No money will be left in the box for the candles, emptied daily.
Evangelization – small groups are planned for the fall. They are looking into offer Catholic movies for families and children during the day.
New business – Seeking new members for the Pastoral Council. We are looking to the mother’s group to send someone and perhaps also someone from Lifeteen as we are looking for the input of the younger people.
