Minutes for 9/11/2018 meeting were accepted.
Discussed Welcome Dinner for new parishioners – date: March 2, 2019. It was decided that we would invite all new parishioners that have registered since Jan. 1, 2018 (until Dec. 31, 2018). Stewardship Council will gather a committee to plan dinner. Pastoral Council will assist with the phone calls to personally invite the new parishioners.
Casa Maria Initiative – on the 4th Tuesday of every month 6 – 8 people will go to Casa Maria to assist.
Parish Survey must be sent to Parish Council for review.
Chairs – folding chairs were give away. WE have 239 red chairs; the Knights need approximately 400 chairs for the Reverse Raffle. Discussed the need to store the additional chairs – where would that be.? Also discussed was renting the Chairs for the December event.
Works of Mercy will host a Medical Adaptive Equipment drive in February, a clothing drive for Sr. Jose & Poverello House in April and July will be a back to school drive.
Finance has approved the cover over the chapel doors with benches and the bench for the bus stop.
Evangelization – Advent Small Group Book Study is set to go. Sign-ups will begin in early November.
Fr. Callistus mentioned that he met with St. Christopher Pastoral Council and Finance committee; they are going to work on short term and long term goals. Currently the councils are made up of only 2 people; Father is hoping to get that number up. It was again mentioned that St. Mark Pastoral Council is willing to assist in any way we can.
Next meeting of the Pastoral Council will be Tuesday, November 13th from 4 – 5 p.m.
