Carolyn Ann Campbell, 71, passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2020, in Tucson, Arizona. Carolyn was born on August 8, 1948, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Joseph Paul and Virginia Lorraine Kacmarynski. Carolyn was the middle of three children, Constance Sue Hartley and Joseph Paul Kacmarynski, Jr. She met and married Terry Robert Campbell of Hartford, Iowa, in 1969. In September, they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Terry and Carolyn moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1988. In 2018, Terry and Carolyn moved to Tucson, Arizona. Terry and Carolyn had two children, Shannan Marie Heston of Tucson, Arizona, and Shawn Michael Campbell of Kansas City, Missouri.
Carolyn worked for IBM and Meredith Corporation in Des Moines, Iowa. She worked for Respite Care Home Services and N. Kansas City Hospital. The family was the most important thing in her life, and she loved spending time with all of them. She is survived by her husband, Terry of Tucson, Arizona, her daughter, Shannan and son-in-law, Dan of Tucson, Arizona, her son, Shawn and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth of Kansas City, Missouri, and her five grandchildren, Jake of Abilene, Texas, Emma and Andrew of Tucson, Arizona, Cole and Zach of Kansas City, Missouri.
Services will be held Friday, March 13, 2020, at 11 am St. Mark Catholic Church in Oro Valley, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations made to Mission for Orphans, a charity that Carolyn supported through her love of crafts.
