At the age of 81, Therese J. Connolly passed away peacefully on February 5th, 2022. She was born May 15,1940 in Chicago, IL. Therese was a graduate of Aquinas High School in Chicago. After high school Therese joined the Dominican Sisters where she went to a junior college and began teaching in Kentucky then West Virginia and later in Illinois. Therese went on to graduate from Siena College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and later earned her Master of Arts degree at Northeastern Illinois University. Therese really enjoyed teaching, counseling and made an impact on others throughout her life.
Therese spent many years in the Chicago area close to her extended family before retiring to Tucson to join her siblings for an additional 27 years.
Therese was full of joy and happiness. She frequently invited her neighbors into her home for group chit-chats; a tradition she continued while living in a nursing home. Therese dearly loved her faithful companion and fierce watchdog, Muffie; a tiny white French Poodle. She enjoyed being out and about in her small red Subaru. Millie's pancake house was her favorite restaurant for breakfast or lunch with her extended family. Despite living modestly, Therese always dressed well. She couldn't pass up a yard sale without stopping in to check out the treasures where she would often buy small gifts and clothes for her nieces and nephews. Her siblings often received unique gifts and you knew where she did her shopping. Talk about recycling, Therese was a champion at it! Therese was a doting Aunt to her numerous nieces and nephews who dearly loved her in return. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A funeral Mass and celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February
26th, 2022, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 2727 W. Tangerine Road, Oro Valley, AZ. 85742.
