Phillip G. Montano 97 years old died on August 9, 2021 in Oro Valley, AZ. He was born September 27, 1923 in San Pedro, NM to parents Miguel Montano and Soledad Garcia. Phillip worked many years in the mining industry and retired from the Magma Copper company. In his active years, he enjoyed camping and fishing in the White Mountains. Before moving to Oro Valley both Phillip and Lucy lived over 20 years in St. David, AZ and were active Oblates at the Holy Trinity Monastery. He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 78 years, Lucy; children Louis, Ernie, Isabel York (Ron), Martin (Rose), Chris, Martha Kinsey (Mark), Bernadette (Dale); 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. “Tata” will greatly be missed by his loving family and friends.
