Obituary for Jane Eleonore Darrah

JANE ELEANORE DARRAH, RN age 81 of Tucson, AZ passed away after a
short illness on September 2, 2024. The daughter of the late Donald Darrah,
MD and Eleanor (nee Van de Motter), RN. Survived by sisters Ann Ritty
(husband, E. Fred Ritty) (deceased) and sister Mary Darrah. Jane was born and
raised in Fairview Park and was a 1961 graduate of Magnificat High School.

Jane moved to Arizona as a young woman and taught at St. Francis Elementary
School in Phoenix, remaining in contact with many students over the years.
She went on to earn her associate degree in nursing, first working as a staff
nurse at St Joseph Hospital and then as a hospice nurse in Phoenix. In Tucson
Jane chose to serve clients with disabilities both in their homes and in group
homes.

Above all, Jane was a woman of faith. Her every action was grounded in her love and trust in God. Jane was a woman of truth, beauty, and love. She developed deep and lasting relationships and has touched the lives of many. Dear Jane, may you rest in peace.

Jane’s celebration of life will be held Friday October 18 at 10:00 a.m.at Saint Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church (Chapel), Oro Valley, Arizona. Memorials may be sent to the charity of your choice or Malachi House, Cleveland, Ohio Center for Action and Contemplation, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
