January 17: Sin, Grace and the Theological Virtues

In today's video, Msgr. Jerry discusses the theological virtues of faith, hope and love. He considers how they relate to our experience of sin and grace. You are also asked to consider how you respond to God's invitation to the wedding banquet. Faith is trust in God that is not contrary to reason, but takes us where reason cannot go. Hope is our belief about the future that prompts us to action to day. If we believe that God is love and we are called to love others, then that proposes obligations to us. Finally, love or charity is our reverence towards God and the things of God and our choices to do good to other, wish good to others and pray for others as other people. These theologicial virtues inform the life choices of the Christian people.
