Works of Mercy
Starting November 19, our annual Giving Tree will be in the Narthex. Gifts are due by December 11. Your unwrapped new gifts may be left under the Giving Tree and will be stored by one of our Council members. We sponsor the following organizations:
Casa de los Niños: A social service agency offering foster care, parenting skills, counseling, and classes for families in need. The unwrapped new gifts you donate are chosen by parents, foster families or social workers. They will wrap them to give to the children in need. Should any gifts be leftover, they will be used for birthdays, graduations etc. This year, yellow ornaments are a priority for specific individual gift requests. The green ornaments are for general gifts. Please take an ornament and securely attach to the gift. Donations: www.casadelosninos.org (please indicate you are from St. Mark Catholic Church) Also, Gift Cards are needed for the following stores: Fry’s, Safeway, Target, Walmart, Visa/Mastercard. Please return the Gift Cards in an envelope labeled “Giving Tree Gift Card” and place in the collection basket or box for safe keeping. Do not place the Gift Cards under the tree.
