Along with fulfilling the five precepts of the Church, the Marian Guild promotes spiritual enrichment of our parishioners with a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The precepts of the Catholic Church are five laws that guide us to fulfill a minimum level of prayer, moral reflection, spiritual growth, and love for God and neighbor:
Attend a Mass on Sundays and Holy days of obligation.
Confess your sins at least once a year.
Receive the Eucharist at least once a year.
Observe days of fasting and abstinence.
Provide for the needs of the Church.
The St. Mark Marian Guild focuses on fostering a deeper understanding of Mary's role in the Church and in the lives of the faithful, as well as encouraging various forms of Marian devotion. We also focus our spiritual growth by praying for special causes such as vocations, pro-life, prayer in family, and marriage.
