St. Mark Little Tots Children's Center is to foster a safe learning environment for the  whole child, centered in Christ. We strive to create an environment where one will grow by discovering his or her own world through fun and organized play, creative lessons, and surroundings filled with faith, family, and friends. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit we strive to build the Kingdom of God through the eyes of the children.

Sensory Awareness

• Through our senses, we learn about the world around us.

• With young children curiosity seems to thrive, and when children are curious their attention span and focus grow stronger without effort.

• Sensory awareness is encouraged through the use of natural materials, sensory play, movement, and time spent outdoors.

Joyful Discipline

• We want all children to be familiar with the freedom and confidence that comes from a joyful and redirecting sense of discipline.

• We want children to learn to practice self-discipline, which will, in turn, lead to independence and good choices when there is no one around to tell them otherwise.

Meaningful Experiences

Our Little Tots program offers a loving environment filled with exploratory play, music, art, faith, and family. Children will gain independence as they strengthen their skills in our “learn through play” philosophy.

• Play is a child’s work. Children are natural learners and tend to gravitate toward discovery on their own.

• Through play-based curriculum, children are given space to explore, observe, and wander their surroundings without being pressured to constantly engage in activities.
