Youth On Their Own is a local 501(c) (3) non-profit dropout prevention agency. Arizona ranks 5th in the U. S. for homeless youth. Every year in Arizona over 62,000 youth are displaced, unaccompanied, through no fault of their own. Homeless youth are more likely to drop out of school and twice as likely to become unemployable adults trapped in poverty.
YOTO strives to eliminate these barriers to education and empower homeless youth to stay in school. For over 30 years YOTO has supported high school graduation by providing financial assistance, basic human needs, and one on one guidance to pursue opportunities for self-sufficiency.
YOTO needs our help restocking their Mini Mall shelves. The Works of Mercy Council will be collecting essential items to help them through these challenging and unpredictable times.
Donation boxes will be placed in the Narthex for drop off at the Masses over the weekend of September 12th and 13th.
Please donate only those items listed on the flyer as they are the most requested and needed.
