October 31, 2024A message from Bishop Edward J. Weisenburger:
Our Diocesan Vocations Board met yesterday and recommended the acceptance of the three young men listed below for sponsorship as seminarians for the Diocese of Tucson. I was very pleased to accept their recommendation. I kindly ask that you encourage them when you meet them and remember them in prayer.
I continue to attribute our growing success in vocations recruitment to the grace of the Holy Spirit--who hears when we cry out in prayer, asking for laborers for the harvest. However, I believe that the Holy Spirit works also through our wonderful and energetic parish-based vocation teams, the encouraging and faithful priests reaching out and meeting with young men individually or in groups, and the consistent efforts of our Vocations Office under the guidance of Fr. Alan Valencia along with our newly ordained priests.
Let us never underestimate the power of God to work through us when we entrust our needs to Him and His Blessed Mother.
