In "Parker's Back" Flannery O'Connor, probably the best Catholic fiction writer of the 20th Century, explores the disconnect between our bodies, our faith and the experience of God. We are called to a integrated life, body and spirit. How does the growing American hunger for tatoos fit in? 

For some people tatoos are personal expressions, windows to the soul. Can you recognize someone's true self through a tattoo? Flannery O'Connor says yes!
