We are well underway in our Spring semester for our Religious Education programs. Our K-5, Edge, and Life Teen programs continue to meet weekly through pre-recorded video lessons and live Zoom classes.
Our K-5 students were hard at work these past few weeks preparing for Lent by creating artwork for an outdoor Stations of the Cross project, commissioned by Fr. John. Thank you to the many students who shared their beautiful artistic skills to help us meditate on Christ’s Passion and Death this Lenten season.
Thank you to our catechists, RE students, and parents for continuing to put in such hard work to RE. Spring brings lots of beauty, specifically for RE, it brings the beauty of the Sacraments. Our programs are hard at work, preparing to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation.
Our 50 First Communicants recently experienced the healing power of Christ’s forgiveness at their First Reconciliation! Thankfully we were permitted to have outdoor celebrations in the courtyard. Many thanks to Fr. John, Fr. Rudy, and the visiting priests Msgr. McCarthy, Fr. Bob, and Fr. Pat, who helped make First Reconciliations possible for our students.
Our First Communicants are now preparing to receive their First Communion directly after Easter. Congratulations First Communicants!
Our 11 Teen Confirmandi are diligently meeting every Sunday on Zoom to prepare for their Confirmation later this Spring.
Lastly, our 7 RCIA participants are continuing to meet weekly via Zoom as they prepare to be fully received into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil. Of our 7 participants, 6 of them are Candidates meaning they have already been baptized while 1 of our participants is a Catechumen meaning they are preparing to receive all the Sacraments of Initiation including Baptism.
We ask you in the charity of your prayers to please remember our RE programs-most especially those preparing to receive Sacraments this semester.
