Paul Kent Johnson, 73, of Larkspur, CO passed away on March 31, 2017 at Aurora Medical Center in Colorado. He was born to Eleanor Ostlund Johnson and Kenneth Johnson in Cloquet, Minnesota on July 25, 1943. He is survived by his sister, Lynn Johnson Rinks, and by Barbara Johnson and their three children: Mark Johnson (wife Jennifer); Michael Johnson (wife Alexandria); and Maressa Johnson Williams (husband Mark). They have 10 grandchildren.
Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan and Indonesia were all places that were home for him and for his family, as well as Minnesota, Colorado, and Arizona. After his career as an insurance executive, he became an entrepreneur. Paul was an accomplished classical pianist. In addition, he was a sailor, a cruise lover, wood flooring expert, as well as being skilled in the framing and promotion of fine art. Wherever he went, Paul lit up the room with his zany wit, perennial optimism and endless ideas of fun things to do! He was so intelligent, talented, loyal and kind. We will remember him as the person who enhanced our lives just by being “Paul.” He is, was and always will be so dearly loved, and will be missed more than one can imagine. A memorial service will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church in Oro Valley, Arizona on July 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Reachout Pregnancy Center or St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.
