Valerie Ann Capono, 47, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021. She was born on June 2, 1974 in Phoenix, AZ and moved to Tucson in 1987. Valerie graduated from Mountain View High School in 1992.
Her father Jim was promoted and brought his family to the "Old Pueblo." He has since retired after 43 yrs. from Southwest Gas. Her mother Dianna was quick to make you feel at home once you walked through her door and everyone loved her cooking. In the years to come, she became a medical assistant. Her infectious personality was hard to hide and made it easy to be her friend. Growing up with only four brothers, she made sure to seek out 'girl-time' whenever possible.
Valerie enjoyed helping people, so she set out to start working with individuals at the DES Voc Rehab Center. This eventually transitioned her to Banner Health where she helped numerous patients suffering from asthma. Valerie had the biggest of hearts and had so much love to give.
We will all miss her love of the color red. The way she would always keep her hair and make-up together to stay "fabulous" as she would say. She was constantly reassuring everyone around her that, 'there was no need to worry; you'll be fine, it'll be okay; babe I got you.' She loved being someone you could depend on and she hardly ever said no.
She was a hopeless romantic. Absolutely loved her R&B music, more specifically, "Keith Sweat." Had the tendency to play her favorite songs over and over, she was a 'repeat offender.' Loved her sleep, taco Tuesdays, strawberry cake with whipped cream, dancing, the movie 'Grease' and spending as much time with family and friends as she could. She adored her children and grandchildren, proud of her nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters and parents. Devoted to her own heaven on earth, Stacy. In the end, Valerie left us the way she entered this world, beautiful, peaceful and knowing she would change our lives forever. We Love You!
Valerie will be lovingly remembered by the love of her life, Stacy, her children, Andres, Adriane, and Anyssya, her grandchildren, Arianna, Alianna, and Adriane, her parents Jim (Rose), and Dianna, her siblings Michael (Amanda), Raymond (Denise), Jimmy (Peggy), Steve (Laurie), Jessica and John Leo, her nieces, nephews and extended family.
A celebration of life will be celebrated at St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church, 2727 W. Tangerine Road, Oro Valley, AZ on Friday, July 2, 2021 with a Holy Rosary at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m.
Valarie will be laid to rest at the Marana Mortuary Cemetery 12146 W Barnett Rd, Marana, Arizona 85653 on July 7th at 10:00 a.m.
