Obituary for Martha "Marty" Maliske

Marty Maliske, 95, passed away on January 12, 2021 following a brief hospitalization. She was born in Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania on April 12, 1925. Marty was a resident of Tucson, AZ.
Marty spent much of her adult life in Cheektowaga, New York. She moved to   Tucson in February 2018 to be near her daughter and grandchildren. She learned to love the desert during her 3 years here. She loved to cook, garden, read and was an expert at completing crossword puzzles which she did daily. She was a sports fan and supported the Buffalo Bills. She had a love of animals both domesticated and wild. She will be remembered for her intelligence and fierce independence which she maintained to the end.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Handy and her brother, Louis Palmer. Marty’s daughter Annette Vince,(George Vince), her grandchildren, Jennifer (Vince) Craig, Michael Vince and Melissa Lagotte, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Maliske, and her son Stephen Lagotte.  She will be greatly missed by all her family members.

A funeral Mass and celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2021 at St. Mark Catholic Church, 2727 W. Tangerine Road, Oro Valley, AZ., and at a later date to be determined in Buffalo, New York.
