Our family is saddened to announce the passing of Luis Antonio Cossio on September 11, 2023. He is survived by his loving spouse, Maria Cossio, three loving children, Rachel Arias (George Arias), Sergio Cossio (Jazlee Cossio), and Melissa Cossio, and seven loving grandchildren, George Arias Jr., Alexis Arias, Nicholas Arias, Jazlynn Luna, Victor Luna, Valentina Cossio and Alessandra Cossio.
Luis was born into this world on May 18, 1949, in Nacozari de Garcia, Sonora, Mexico as the second child to Perfecto Cossio del Rio and Maria Eva Acedo Olea . Luis was an avid woodworker his entire life, creating some of the most beautiful pieces of carpentry you can imagine. He also loved his local University of Arizona football, basketball, and baseball teams along with his beloved Arizona Diamondbacks. He was a wonderful cook, making some of the best menudo, pozole and ceviche. There was nothing better to Luis than making food and watching a sporting event from the comfort of his home. He was a devout catholic and was at peace with God at his passing.
In his passing, Luis leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience. He was, and forever will be, a beloved and unforgettable force in our lives.
