John M. Buenviaje was a selfless individual who lived a full life dedicated to hard work, family, and service. Born on September 10, 1971, in Baguio City, Philippines, he was the sixth child of seven siblings.
John grew up learning the value of hard work and dedication as he diligently helped his family with various responsibilities.
At a young age, John began working as a tennis ball boy at Camp John Hay, where he discovered his passion for teaching and coaching. It was there that he met the love of his life, Michelle Singson. At a young age, they built a strong and loving relationship and eventually got married.
John and Michelle were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Janine and Zyna, whom they loved and cherished deeply. John worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable life for his family. His love and devotion to them were evident in everything he did. In pursuit of a better life for his family, John migrated to the United States and joined the U.S. Navy as a Corpsman (Medic), where he had several deployments across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. John served his country with honor and distinction.
John was a gentle, kind, and loving person who touched the lives of everyone he met. He was known for his genuine smile, positive attitude, and unwavering commitment to his family, friends, and community. He will always be remembered for his kind and compassionate spirit. John's legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire those who knew him.
A funeral Mass and celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29th, 2023, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 2727 W. Tangerine Road, Oro Valley, AZ. 85742.
