Obituary for Dorothy M. Pilato

Dorothy M. Pilato passed away on April 16 in Tucson, AZ.  She was born on October 21, 1930 in Manhattan, New York. She is predeceased by her son James E. Pilato Jr. known as Jimmie. Dorothy's husband, James E. Pilato Sr., passed away in 1987 when residing in Pennsylvania.

She was a Graduate of Shady Side School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was a Registered Nurse by occupation at Connellsville State General Hospital in Connellsville, Pennsylvania prior to her retirement. She was always helping someone through her nursing abilities when residing in Pennsylvania. For example, she was the family and neighborhood nurse. She was selfless and always took the medical needs of the patient and others prior to her own. Dorothy was wheelchair bound for the last fourteen years. Her son Jimmie had been sick about three months ago and was in bed for about ten hours. She stayed with him, at the bedside, in her wheelchair the entire time.

She was the best mother a son could ask for and will be missed very much.

There will be a Rosary and Funeral Mass for Dorothy on Tuesday, April 30th starting at 10AM, in the Chapel of St. Mark Catholic Church in Oro Valley.
