I have important news. Bishop Edward Weisenburger has asked me to accept the additional responsibility of Parish Administrator for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. Fr. Joseph Lombardo, after a long and distinguished career in our diocese, has retired from active parish ministry. My position as Parish Administrator for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton requires that I oversee the basic functioning of the parish and school. Fortunately, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton enjoys prayerful associate priests, deacons and a fine staff at both parish and school.
It is very important to note that I am still the pastor here at St. Mark Parish. Bishop hopes to appoint a new pastor for the coming year at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, at which time my duties as parish administrator there will terminate. I expect that my service there will end on or before the last day of June. I am not being transferred to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish, I am just helping out. I will continue to reside and carry out my ministry here.
I know Fr. Lombardo will appreciate our prayers and good wishes as he begins the joyful days of his retirement. As always keep our parishioners and the parishioners of our sister parish in your prayers. God bless you, Fr. John Arnold Pastor, St. Mark
