26th Sunday in Ordinary Time: A rich man and a poor man (Family Faith Formation)

Twenty-sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time

1. Today the Gospel is from Luke and is about a rich man who didn't care about the poor man during his life. Luke says God is going to turn everything upside down. In the world to come the simple will be high in heaven and the arrogant will not be in a good place. Challenge the kids to remember the poor man's name? (Answer: Lazarus, just like the  man Jesus raised from the dead).
2. What liturgical season are we in? (Answer: Ordinary time)
3. What color does the priest wear? (Answer: Green)
4.  What is supposed to happen in ordinary time? We are supposed to grow in love of God and one another.
